Born to Slovak immigrants to Canada . I have an initial background in research biochemistry. This was then followed by a medical degree and internship in cardiovascular surgery. A subsequent residency in psychiatry lead to an initial career in a private practice in the field. I then took interest in fine art and acquired an Honours Bachelor of Fine Art Degree with disctinction at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. I completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at Bathspa University in the U.K. I returned to Canada and took courses in Art Gallery and Museum Management. I am currently enrolled at the University of Western Ontario in the Arts Management program. I am also currently studying at the Art Academy of Canada in Toronto, improving my draughtsmanship and painting skills.
